2008 ESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS RULES
- Environmental Support Solutions, Inc. ("Host") is offering the ESS Excellence Awards competition ("competition"). ESS' corporate offices are located at 1620 Fountainhead Pkwy Suite 100, Tempe, AZ, 85282. COMPETITION VOID WHERE PROHIBITED
- All entries must be postmarked no later than December 31, 2007. No entries will be accepted if postmarked after December 31, 2007.
- Competition will be open to males and females ages 21 and older as of December 31, 2007. Employees of the Host or Sponsor, and the Host or Sponsor's parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and the family members of such employees (defined as parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandparents) and all those with whom such employees are domiciled, are not eligible to enter.
- Enter by filling out an official entry form and providing the requested information about your project on the entry form. The entry form must be submitted along with a digital project write-up containing:
- An overview of the environmental, health, safety or crisis management situation/challenge
- Project objectives including tactical steps and strategic goals
- Project graphs, spreadsheets, or other illustrations of key elements
- Project or program results including metrics of success - this is the most important information you provide.
- Program(s) must have been completed or achieved a major, measurable benchmark during the 18 months prior to December 31, 2007 (start date is not a criteria).
- Send your entry forms to 2008 ESS Excellence Awards, c/o ESS, 1700 Research Blvd, Suite 200, Rockville, MD 20850. Multiple entries are permitted. Entrants must fill out an official entry form for each category they wish to enter. The Host shall not be responsible for lost, late, mutilated or misdirected entries.
- Entry forms or requests that are tampered with, illegible or incomplete are not eligible.
- Each entrant selected as a potential winner must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all such requirements. Winners in each category will be selected by the Host and Judges selected by the Host. Entries will be deemed eligible and winners will be selected according to Host's and Judges discretion, based on concept, innovative use of technology, execution and results.
- Participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decision of the Judges and Host, whose decisions are final. Winners will be notified via telephone and/or e-mail on or about January 15th, 2008. Winners will be honored at the Awards Gala held at the ESS EXPO.08 Users' Conference on April 15th, 2008. To obtain a list of winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, after April 15th, 2008 to ESS Excellence Awards List, Attn: Barbara Thomas, ESS Excellence Awards Committee Chair, 1700 Research Blvd, Suite 200, Rockville, MD 20850.
- BNP Media, Inc. - specifically Pollution Engineering magazine and Industrial Safety and Hygiene News - are the official Media Sponsors of this competition. Winners may be featured in those publications (print and online) during 2008.
- All entries and requests become the property of the Host, and will not be acknowledged or returned. The Host will have the right to photograph the winner. Entry constitutes permission to use the winner's name, picture, likeness and city and state of residence for purposes of trade, publicity or promotion for no additional compensation except where prohibited by law.
All entries must be original and must not infringe on any third party rights. Submission of an entry constitutes entrant's consent to irrevocably assign to Host any and all rights to their entry including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights. Submission of an entry grants the Host and their agents the right to publish, produce, use, adapt, edit and/or modify the entry in any way and in any and all media, without limitation and without compensation to the entrant.
All entrants release Hosts, their affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, and agents, and all others associated with the development and execution of this from any and all liability from injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this competition.
