Judging
Judging of entries will be based on the following criteria:
- Environmental, Health & Safety protection - what and/or who was protected
- Teamwork - how well did the project team work together
- Public service - how did the community or communities at large benefit
- EHS and Crisis Management education and outreach - how many people were aware of the project
- Pollution prevention - what measurable difference in pollution was avoided
- Economic impact - how much time, money, energy was saved
- Risk reduction - what measurable level of risk was reduced
- Innovative use of technology - how effectively did they use ESS products/services to reach their goal
Each project will receive a score of 1 to 9 in the above criteria (1 is lowest point and 9 is the highest point available). The highest score in each category shall receive the ESS Excellence Award. Second and third highest scores in each category shall receive honorable mention certificates. In categories where a minimum score for the top award has not been reached to justify first place - the judges may at their discretion - present an honorable mention award only. Results must be quantifiably presented.
